McMurry War Hawks Volleyball Claims NCCAA Central Region Crown; Petree Gains Coaching Win #400

- For the third time in its history, the McMurry University volleyball team has claimed the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Region championship - and will advance to the national tournament - after defeating Southwestern Assemblies of God, 3-1, at Kimbrell Arena. The War Hawks (23-7) won by set scores of 22-25, 25-11, 25-21, 25-20, over the Lady Lions (27-7).

Additionally, the victory had double significance for McM in that it was also career coaching victory number 400 for War Hawks' head coach Cammie Petree in her 22 seasons at the McM helm. Petree has a .610 winning percentage in her three separate stints at the McM helm, with a record of 400-256.
