On Wednesday, March 3, Acting Commissioner of Labor Colleen C. Gardner will be joined by local partners at a news conference at GLOBALFOUNDRIES in Saratoga County. This construction project is among the largest in the world.
The Capital Region has a short amount of time to get ready for the influx of jobs coming its way. Acting Commissioner Gardner will discuss ways the region is helping to get area workers ready and trained to fill these jobs.

Take the Northway to Exit 12 and go to Route 9 South. The Fab 8/M + W field office is located at 400 Stone Break Road Extension. To reach the lot from Route 9S in Malta, turn left on to Stone Break Road and head east into the Luther Forest Technology Campus. Take the second right turn at the roundabout and head up the hill toward the Fab 8 construction site. You'll see the field office and parking area on the right before you reach the entrance to the construction site.
