Unemployment Rate Among Youth in Buffalo Stands at a Staggering 24.6%

On Thursday, February 23, state Department of Labor Special Counsel Rachel D. Gold will host a press event in Buffalo promoting Governor Cuomo's "NY Youth Works" program to area businesses. The Governor and legislative leaders designed the NY Youth Works program to provide permanent, unsubsidized employment for youth in 12 locations across the state, including the City of Buffalo. This new inner city youth employment and tax credit program is part of Governor Cuomo's comprehensive New York Works Agenda.
