Meghan Holliday of Newark is Panhellenic Scholar of the Month at Centre College

DANVILLE, KY (03/27/2013)(readMedia)-- Meghan Holliday of Newark has been named Centre College's Panhellenic Scholar of the Month. She is a member of the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

The Scholar of the Month program recognizes sorority women who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and involvement in both their Greek community and the Centre community as a whole.

Holliday is a behavioral neuroscience major whose future plans include medical school. She is the president of her sorority, as well as a three-year varsity athlete on Centre's swimming and diving team. She has completed an internship with Commonwealth Cancer Center in Danville, Ky., and has spent a semester abroad at the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

Holliday is the daughter of Al and Marie Holliday of Newark and is a graduate of Charter School of Wilmington.

Centre College, founded in 1819, is a nationally ranked liberal arts college in Danville, Ky. Centre hosted its second Vice Presidential Debate on 10.11.12, and remains the smallest college in the smallest town ever to host a general election debate.
