STANDISH, ME (05/04/2012)(readMedia)-- Melinda Blais of Pembroke, N.H., earned the Spirit of Mercy Award at Saint Joseph's College in Standish, Maine, given to the student whose service to the community embodies the values of the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, Catherine McAuley. These values are characterized by deep compassion, warm hospitality, genuine respect and a spirit of joy. Blais is a senior biology/pre-veterinary medicine major.
