Mercer Trustees Elect McDonough's Moye to Serve 5-Year Term

MACON, GA (11/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Mercer University's Board of Trustees elected McDonough's William Anthony (Tony) Moye to a five-year term during its annual meeting in Macon on Nov. 11. He previously served as a member of Mercer's Board of Trustees from 1999 to 2004 and from 2005 to 2010.

Moye is the founder of Moye's Pharmacy and is currently a board member for the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and Georgia Pharmacy Board. He also serves on the advisory board for the United Community Bank and was a former preceptor for Mercer's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Moye has been a member of the National Association of Retail Druggists and Georgia Pharmaceutical Association since 1973. He is a past chairman for the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Henry County Players and Eagles Landing Country Club Board of Governors and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Henry County and Mercer School of Pharmacy Alumni Association. Moye has received numerous civic and community service awards over the years and earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Mercer and a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of West Georgia.
