Merritt Elected Saint Anselm College Class President
MANCHESTER, NH (11/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Robbie Merritt of Salem, NH was recently elected president of his freshman class at Saint Anselm College.
In high school Merritt was involved in the student council, class council, National Honors Society, and Band Council. As a senior he became president of the National Honor Society and the marching band. In these positions Merritt was in charge of planning and organizing many events on an extremely low budget which forced him to fundraise.
By the end of his senior year Merritt had become an expert fundraiser and thought that this skill along with the rest of his experience in leadership would help him run for president. Merritt plans to use his expertise to bring more campus events and activities to Saint Anselm, specifically for the freshman, in order to unify his peers.
Today Merritt is a psychology major and already has a rough outline for his future after Saint Anselm. Merritt plans to earn his masters from grad school and eventually a PhD in cognitive development. His dream job would be to work as an adolescent cognitive developmental psychologist.
With a president of his kind of merit the horizon looks bright for Robbie and the class of 2017.
