Mia Major Honored at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, MA (05/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Mia Major of Wilbraham took home a total of 11 awards, including four first place honors, during Western New England University's 10th annual Student Media Festival. Major won first and third place in the juried competition and third in the people's choice judging in the TV news reporting category; first and third place in the juried competition and third in the people's choice award in the music video category; first in the juried competition and second in the people's choice award in the TV commercial/PSA category; and second in the juried competition and first in the people's choice award in the radio report category. A junior majoring in Communication at the University, Major also received the Outstanding Video Production Award.
The Student Media Festival was created to provide students a venue to display their works to fellow students, faculty, staff, and the public so that students can be recognized for their successes in creating quality films and videos over the past year.
