HERKIMER, NY (11/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Herkimer County Community College has named student-athletes to the Green and Gold Club for October 2011.
Men's cross-country runner Michael Elleman, New Hartford, NY is a Physical Therapist Assistant major. He finished eighth in the Mountain Valley Conference meet and ninth in the Region III meet. Coach Julie Delmedico said "Mike is by far my hardest worker. He's an extension of the coaching staff on the course and a true team leader. He competes every day not to be average but to do his very best."
HCCC's Green and Gold Club honors an outstanding male and female athlete each month. Herkimer County Community College is a unit of the State University of New York, located in Herkimer, NY, about 20 miles east of Utica, NY. With an enrollment of approximately 3,600 students, Herkimer offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs, on-campus housing, an active co-curricular activities schedule and a national championship athletic program.
