Mondello Appoints Wojtaszek to Upstate Post

ALBANY, NY (08/18/2008)(readMedia)-- Chairman Joseph N. Mondello today announced his appointment of Niagara County Chairman Henry Wojtaszek to a newly created position to increase communication and outreach among Republicans Upstate.

"Republicans have been the strongest advocates for Upstate communities in terms of fighting for tax relief, economic development and a fair distribution of aid, and we are going to continue to build on that tradition," said Chairman Mondello. "I am happy to appoint Chairman Wojtaszek as the Republican Party's Upstate point person to provide another avenue to give voice to the concerns of Upstate and ensure local organizations are taking advantage of all the programs the State Party offers. Chairman Wojtasek is extremely talented, hard-working and well-respected by his peers, and his skills will be invaluable in our efforts for this fall."

The new position, 2^ndVice Chair for Upstate, will improve communications, program implementation and opportunities for communities across Upstate. Chairman Wojtaszek will be soliciting ideas to improve the entire Upstate region and helping to coordinate efforts between Upstate Republican county organizations and the entire State Party organization. Chairman Wojtaszek will be traveling to more local Party events across Upstate to receive grassroots input, while also coordinating Chairman Mondello's increased election season travel schedule to maximize meetings with local organizations and supporters.

In addition to being the Niagara County Chair, Henry Wojtaszek was elected by his fellow chairs in his region to be the Western New York Vice Chair.

The appointment is effective immediately.
