Morenci Young of Gordon has been nominated for Homecoming Queen at Howard Payne University.

BROWNWOOD, TX (09/25/2013)(readMedia)-- Morenci Young of Gordon has been nominated for Homecoming Queen at Howard Payne University in Brownwood. Morenci, a senior psychology major and health sciences minor, is the daughter of Monty and Salena Young.

Morenci is a member of Delta Chi Rho and the Archery Club, and plays intramural sports. She plans to one day become an ultrasound technician.

Morenci will be honored along with the other members of the Homecoming Court during HPU's Homecoming Convocation on Friday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m., in Mims Auditorium. She will also be featured in the Homecoming parade and football game on Saturday, October 5.
