NAU Student Taylor Doren, of Chandler, AZ, Working as Waterfront Activities Director This Summer
FLAGSTAFF, AZ (05/03/2013)(readMedia)-- Taylor Doren, a junior at Northern Arizona University, is one of the Wall Aquatic Center managers and has worked at the WAC since spring 2011. Over the last two years she has worked her way up from lifeguard to swim/water aerobics instructor and is now a facility managers. Taylor was certified as a lifeguard instructor last year and has taken the initiative to help teach several CPR classes. This training has helped her to prepare for a summer job at Camp Lake Hubert in Minnesota, where she will be working as the waterfront activity director. While she will be supervising all of the fun activities which include swimming, snorkeling and zip lines that drop off into the lake, her top priority will be ensuring the safety of more than 200 campers that will be attending the camp.
The Wall Aquatic Center offers Northern Arizona University and the Flagstaff community one of the finest high altitude swimming facilities in the world. It boasts an Olympic-size pool complete with eight 50-meter lanes, diving boards, and underwater filming and viewing windows.
