Michele Salkin, outreach coordinator for the Micro-credential Program at NCC, says, "This program provides a fresh start for people in the middle of a career transition. Not only does it give them the skills they need to be successful in manufacturing, but it gives them opportunities to connect with local manufacturers and begin a meaningful career in this vital industry."

Graduates of the Micro-credentials in Manufacturing Program will earn OSHA-10 certification and be prepared for entry-level, high-demand positions. Areas included are lean manufacturing, quality assurance and blueprint-reading. Students will tour local manufacturing facilities, explore careers, and participate in Career Day and Employer Day activities, where enrolled students meet with local businesses for interview sessions.
