NCC to Hold Reception for ArtsQuest InVision Photography Month

BETHLEHEM, PA (10/18/2018) NCC will hold a reception for photographer Nicolas Bowen on Friday, November 8, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Gallery, Communications Hall, Bethlehem Campus, Northampton Community College, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.

Bowen uses the language of visual storytelling to examine the relationships of humans to their surroundings. Raised in southeastern Pennsylvania, he earned a fine arts degree from Kutztown State College in 1969, an MFA in photography with a minor in film studies from Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester. Until his retirement in 2007, Bowen taught photography at Kutztown University. He continues to photograph in southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. He has exhibited his projects at the Mennonite Heritage Center in Harleysville, Pennsylvania; the Rotunda Gallery in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; and the Nurture Nature Center in Easton, Pennsylvania. Several of his photographs were included in the annual juried Photo Review International Photography Competition.

Bowen's photography will be on exhibit at the College from Thursday, November 1, through Saturday, December 15.
