NEMCC Livestock Judging Team Impresses on International Stage

Northeast Mississippi Community College's livestock judging team displayed its skills at the International Beef Judging Competition held at the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson earlier in the spring semester.

Northeast's livestock judging team, which is composed of all freshmen students, distinguished itself as the sole community college representation from the eastern side of the Mississippi River, by evaluating twelve classes of steers, heifers, and bulls.

Through the team's knowledge and research, members provided reasons for their placements in eight of those classes.

Among the 37 teams participating at International Beef Judging Competition held at the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson earlier in the spring semester, Northeast took home an eleventh-place finish.
