American Red Cross Offers Job Opportunites for Heroes of All Kinds

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (01/20/2008)(readMedia)-- The American Red Cross Blood Services is hosting a job fair Monday, January 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in its West Division headquarters located at 100 Red Cross Circle, Pomona, CA 91768. The Red Cross is again recruiting for experienced RNs, LVNs, medical assistants, and phlebotomists; however, the organization is also hiring technologists, territory managers, lab technicians, drivers, inventory clerks and more. Hiring managers will be on-site to conduct interviews; resumes will be required to interview.

“Many people in our community hear the term Blood Services and automatically assume you must be a nurse or a phlebotomist to work for the Red Cross,” states Audrey Johnson, talent acquisition manager for American Red Cross Blood Services, West Division. “However, those attending this job fair will quickly learn we also are looking for talented individuals to fill positions in a variety of departments including marketing, administration, telemarketing and research, just to name a few.”

Job openings for entry-level up to senior-level candidates are available. One year of work-related experience in the health-care field is required for all RNs, medical assistants and phlebotomist. Some job positions require a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
