HANCOCK FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, SYRACUSE, N.Y., (08/17/2021) (readMedia)-- Airmen assigned to the New York Air Guard's 174th Attack Wing will be highlighting the wing's mission at the New York State Fair this year.

The exhibit will be held indoors at the State Fair Expo Center. Visitors will be able see an actual MQ-9 remotely piloted aircraft like those the wing flies.

They will also be able to check out a simulated ground control station and take a turn at being an MQ-9 pilot. Some other great exhibits that the 174th Attack Wing will be showcasing include, humvees, airport rescue firefighting vehicle, a utility all terrain vehicle, a police interceptor, and a single pallet expeditionary kitchen, known in military language as a SPEK.

Wing personnel will be on hand to discuss their individual Air Force career fields and New York Air National Guard recruiters will be able to talk to interested fairgoers about opportunities to serve with the 174th and all the benefits of serving.
