NY Department of State to Announce Grants for Central NY

NY Secretary of State Cortés-Vázquez, Cicero Town Supervisor Boyke, State Officials, to Announce Central NY Revitalization Grants, Focusing on Improving Water Quality in the Region

CICERO, NY (02/16/2010)(readMedia)-- New York Secretary of State Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez will join Supervisor Judy Boyke, state and local officials and community groups at Cicero Town Hall on Friday, February 19, at 1:30 p.m. to announce the multiple Environmental Protection Fund and Local Government Efficiency grants the Department of State recently awarded the region.

The Town of Cicero, the Village of Elbridge and the City of Auburn are all receiving DOS funding to enhance local water management – from improving the quality of drinking water to consolidating sewer authorities. The goal is to save taxpayer money while upgrading the quality of public services.
