NY Department of State to Announce Grants for Western NY
NY Secretary of State, Buffalo Mayor, State and Local Officials to Announce Environmental Protection Fund Award for Lasalle Park; Western NY Receives Additional Local Government Efficiency Grants to Study Ways to Save Taxpayer Money
BUFFALO, NY (02/16/2010)(readMedia)-- New York Secretary of State Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez will join Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, state and local officials and community groups at Frank Lloyd Wright's Fontana Boathouse on Thursday, February 18, at 11 a.m. to announce a major Department of State grant aimed at improving the quality of LaSalle Park for its tens of thousands of annual visitors.
In addition, Secretary of State Cortés-Vázquez will be announcing awards recently made to the Town of Aurora, the Village of East Aurora, the Town of Wilson and the City of Niagara Falls to study cost savings opportunities that would arise from consolidating local government departments and services – without compromising quality.
