NYISO Launches New Website
Continues Long Tradition of Transparency and Enhancing Access to Power Grid Information
RENSSELAER, NY (12/13/2018) (readMedia)-- The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) has launched a new website that will provide easier access to grid-related publications, reports and studies; a more user-friendly search engine; real-time power delivery data; and other materials related to managing New York's electric grid.
The NYISO is a non-profit organization that manages the electric grid as well as the wholesale power markets in New York. The organization has always been a leading resource of information about the generation and delivery of power to the state's 19 million consumers. Today, the NYISO's new website will further emphasize the organization's history of independence and transparency.
The website is dedicated to allowing policymakers, market participants, media, and the public find what they need as simply and easily as possible. Features include a powerful search engine that makes use of topic and category filters for fine-tuning a search and a vast library of data and reports.
"This new website dovetails with the NYISO's strong commitment to being the authoritative source of information on New York's electric system," said Kevin Lanahan, vice president of external affairs. "This new website represents the NYISO's new public face, and one that will allow our stakeholders and the public at large even greater access to what they need to know about the energy grid in New York."
In the new website, new visitors may find several pages especially helpful as they explore the new site. Those include:
- Reports Library All NYISO reports
- About Us Information on what we do
- Blog A great way to stay in touch and informed on issues affecting the NY power grid
- Data Dashboard Real-time metrics on power delivery
