NYS Medical Society Pledges Support for Gov. Paterson
ALBANY, NY (03/17/2008)(readMedia)-- Today’s inauguration of David Paterson as the 55th Governor of New York State presents all New Yorker’s with an opportunity to reflect on the nature of our legislative system and the orderly transition of government seen in few other places in the world.
In the more than 20 years since Governor Paterson first came to Albany, he has established a reputation for openness, candor and unambiguous devotion to representing his constituency with vigor and honesty. His participation and interest in health care issues have been an important element of his legislative tenure, and the people of New York are healthier for his active involvement.
The Medical Society of the State of New York extends to Governor Paterson its sincere well wishes on his inauguration as Governor of New York State and pledges to support his continued endeavors on behalf of all New Yorkers.
