NYSRPA Urges Putnam Gun Owners to Support Office-Seekers Who Represent Their Interests
ALBANY, NY (10/25/2011)(readMedia)-- With the fall elections a short time away, the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association wants to remind all gun owners to vote freedom first on Election Day.
Specifically, the residents of Philipstown should remember that Town Supervisor Richard Shea wants to enact a local law prohibiting the possession of lawfully owned firearms on town property. Since criminals by definition don't obey laws, the target of his proposal must be ordinary citizens. Councilwoman Barbara Scuccimarra was the only town board member to oppose the proposal.
When entering the voting booth On Nov. 8, gun owners should ask themselves if Richard Shea and the board members who support him represent their best interests and vote accordingly.
