Nanotechnology Expert to Speak at SUNY Canton

CANTON, NY (10/22/2014)(readMedia)-- Elroy Tatem, Ph.D., a graduate research assistant at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany will discuss the nanotechnology industry at SUNY Canton at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 4, in Nevaldine North, Room 102.

Tatem will provide an overview of his research and share his experiences as a graduate student in a STEM field. The event is free and open to the public.

He earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Union College in 2006, where he was the president of the Union College chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers and a mentor in the Science and Technology Entry Program. He went on to attend the SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) to work as a research assistant while obtaining his Ph.D.
