Narcan Trainings to Save Lives + Candlelight Vigil On International Overdose Awareness Day

BROOKLYN, NY (08/30/2021) (readMedia)-- Join Brooklyn Community Recovery Center for a day of action, including Narcan trainings and a candlelight vigil, to observe International Overdose Awareness Day.

With overdose deaths occurring at the highest rate in decades in New York City and across the country, learning to administer Narcan is the new CPR - everybody should know how to do this simple act in order to save lives. Trainings will occur throughout the day at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

Closing out the day of awareness at 7:30 p.m. will be a candlelight vigil to honor lives lost to overdoses, and highlight the epidemic within the pandemic.
