MANCHESTER, NH (05/23/2013)(readMedia)-- Nashua, N.H. resident Nathanael Chartier graduated summa cum laude from Saint Anselm College on Saturday, May 18, earning the Chancellor's Medal as the 2013 graduate with the highest academic average.

A four-year member of the college choir, Chartier sang the national anthem at the college's 120th commencement exercises, the final commencement of retiring president Father Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, Chartier will pursue a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry in fall 2013.
