Natick resident Hannah Shambroom wins outstanding student achievement awards at Connecticut College
NEW LONDON, CT (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Hannah Shambroom, a senior at Connecticut College, was awarded the following awards:
• Nancy Batson Nisbet Rash Prize, to the most outstanding senior art history major awarded in memory of Nancy Rash, the Lucy C. McDannel '22 Professor of Art History,
• Esther C. Cary Prize, to exceptionally gifted students of French in the senior class from the estate of Esther Celia Talbot Cary, the late Professor Emeritus of French
Shambroom was presented with the awards at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.
Shambroom, a resident of Natick and a 2007 graduate of The Rivers School, Weston, is the daughter of Nina Righter and Glenn Shambroom of Natick.
At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
