National Communication Honor Society Inducts 29 USC Aiken Students

AIKEN, SC (05/04/2018) Lambda Pi Eta, the national communication honor society, inducted 29 new members at the University of South Carolina Aiken on May 2, 2018.

The following USC Aiken students were inducted at the ceremony held on the USC Aiken campus: Hannah Elizabeth Babb, Leah Marie Boghosian, Andre F. Brown III, Miah Love Byrd, Tori Caldwell, Adrielle Cooper, Haley Elise Dixon, Brye Epley, Atiya Zaahir Fields, Dathan Flowers, Alexis Frasier, Jessica Gomez, DeAnna Gregory, Kendall Austin Haley, Ashby Taylor Holmes, Eliya Husid, Kimberly Taylor Jergensen, Moesha Ikia Kendrick, Lindsey Kennedy, Brittany H. Kibler, Brooklin Alexandria Kuipers, Judah David Londo, Laney Moore, Eriq Moultrie, Sydney Kate Murphy, Olivia Grace Oates, Sydney Royer, Kailey Spence and Kurt Jacob Yarbrough.

Lambda Pi Eta Faculty Advisor, Dr. Jason Munsell, said, "I'm a member of Lambda Pi Eta and I've been associated with the honor society since the early 90s. This is the biggest and one of the best groups of new inductees I've ever seen."

Lambda Pi Eta was founded in 1985 at the University of Arkansas and the National Communication Association established LPH as an affiliate organization and as the official national communication honor society for undergraduates in 1995. In February, 1996, Lambda Pi Eta was certified by the Association of College Honor Societies, and now there are nearly 500 LPH chapters worldwide. The chapter at USC Aiken, the Nu Rho Chapter, was established in 2001 by Dr. Charmaine Wilson, at the urging of Communication major, Jason J. Hancock '02.
