Nazareth College Art Department hosting two gallery receptions Friday, September 18

ROCHESTER, NY (09/06/2015)(readMedia)-- The annual Nazareth College Art Department Faculty Show will be on view in the Arts Center Gallery through September 26, 2015, with an Artist Reception Friday, September 18, from 5–7 p.m. Visitors will enjoy a variety of styles and media-including ceramics, illustrations, jewelry, metalwork, prints, paintings, photography, sculpture, and more-by the department's faculty of talented working artists. The Faculty Show is an annual event that helps support the Arts Center Gallery's educational mission. There's No Place Like Home will feature a large-scale installation, and "Home is the Skin that I Wake Up In," a series of photos by artist Kitty Hubbard, in Nazareth College's Colacino Gallery September 18-October 24, 2015, with an Artist Reception Friday, September 18, from 5–7 p.m. Hubbard is an intermedia artist and associate professor of art at the College at Brockport. She studied photography with Merry Moor Winnett at Guilford College in North Carolina and completed her M.F.A. at Visual Studies Workshop. During her time in Rochester, Hubbard's work has incorporated digital image making on traditional and non-traditional surfaces, small and large scale as well as sculptural and installation projects.
