ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

"Hip 21st-century entertainers" -The Dallas Morning News

"The Spencers put on a show that's equal parts Broadway production and rock concert" -Dayton [Ohio] Daily News

Modern magic is about drama, danger, and personality, and Spencers: Theatre of Illusion won't disappoint. Far from typical magicians, Kevin and Cindy Spencer carry a lot of equipment in their 65-foot customized truck and trailer, but a rabbit and a top hat are not in the inventory. The duo's family friendly production is a fusion of magic and illusion, humor and mystery, and persona and personality. With a background in clinical psychology, Kevin likes to say, "I was going to help people's minds but now I just mess with them."

Theatre of Illusion stands in stark contrast to traditional magic shows: the Spencers see it not as a stage full of tricks used to fool people, but as a way to inspire viewers with a sense of wonder while inviting them to participate in the magic. By blending the theatrical elements of a Broadway-style production with the high energy of a rock concert, the Spencers take their audience on a journey to the brink of impossibility and back.

Among the world's most recognized illusion teams, the Kevin and Cindy Spencer have mesmerized millions worldwide-with sold-out performances in 19 countries on five continents-and earned numerous accolades in the process. They have been named Performing Arts Entertainers of the Year for a record-breaking six consecutive years, and have twice been named America's Best Entertainers. In 2009, the Spencers were bestowed magic's highest honor-the Merlin Award for International Magicians of the Year-joining the ranks of Doug Henning; Harry Blackstone, Jr.; Penn & Teller; David Copperfield, and Criss Angel.
