Nazareth College Department of Music presents "Halloween Spooktacular," an all-ages benefit concert

Faculty and student ensembles join forces to benefit Pittsford Food Cupboard!

ROCHESTER, NY (10/01/2014)(readMedia)-- The Nazareth College Department of Music's 2014-2015 Concert Series continues with its annual Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilmot Recital Hall. The concert will feature faculty and student performers, multiple readings of spooky short stories, and a performance by a local children's chorus. In the spirit of Halloween, guests are encouraged to dress in costume and join the musicians for a post-concert reception. In addition, donations will be accepted for the Pittsford Food Cupboard. This event is free and open to the public; families are welcome.

ABOUT THE CONCERT

Event organizer Dr. Bonnie Choi, Nazareth College Department of Music, welcomes back the Halloween Spooktacular, an annual charitable event.

"Our students and faculty are excited to collaborate and present a Halloween program, but our main purpose is to collect donations for the Pittsford Food Cupboard," she explained. "We are planning a fun, family evening and hope that people will come out in support of our neighbors in need."

The concert will feature faculty and student performances interspersed with spooky short stories read by Nazareth College faculty. The evening will also feature a performance by the Genesee Valley Children's Choir.
