Nazareth College Department of Theatre Arts casting one 10 year old for THE SECRET GARDEN

ROCHESTER, NY (11/12/2014)(readMedia)-- The Nazareth College Department of Theatre Arts is holding auditions for it's production of The Secret Garden. The department is casting one 10-year-old boy (or girl) to play the role of Colin Craven, male, age 10 (Range: young voice, A3-E5). Colin is Archibald's 10-year-old son, who spent his life in bed due to a heart condition. He is very stubborn and throws temper tantrums to get what he wants. He believes his father hates him for causing Lily's (Colin's mother) death.

Rehearsals will begin in February 2015, and are held in the evenings and some weekends. Evening and matinee performances of The Secret Garden are over two weekends in April 2015 (April 10, 11, 12 and April 17, 18, 19) and one weekday matinee (10 a.m., April 15).

Audition materials will be provided upon scheduling an appointment. Auditions will take place at Nazareth College by appointment only beginning Monday, December 1, with callbacks at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 5.
