Nazareth College Hosts Health Care Reform Conference, Feb. 10

ROCHESTER, NY (01/18/2011)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College will host a one day conference titled "Bringing Health Reform Home: Scholars, Health Professionals, and Community Leaders Share Their Perspectives," on Thursday, February 10, followed by a speaker series taking place on February 18 and March 4 that continues the conversation on the U.S. health care system and recent reform. The conference on February 10 consists of two panel discussions: Panel 1 is from 4:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. and Panel 2 is from 5:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This conference and the speaker series are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. The conference will take place in the Nazareth College Arts Center's Palladoro Reception Hall, 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14618. The discussion panels will cover crucial issues of the health reform that take place at the state and community level. Two main objectives of the reform, to expand coverage and to cut costs to states and local health care systems, will lead the discussions.
