Nazareth College Hosts Hope For Haiti Benefit Concert, Jan. 20

ROCHESTER, NY (01/19/2010)(readMedia)-- -

WHAT: Nazareth College is hosting Hope for Haiti, a benefit concert to raisemoney for the people of Haiti devastated by last week's earthquake. Students, faculty and staff of Nazareth, along with students from St. John Fisher and others from the Rochester community are combining forces for an evening of music and dance. A Nazareth student formerly from Haiti will also speak about her native homeland. The Hope for Haiti concert is open to the public, and the donation for admission is $5 or more. All proceeds are going to the Red Cross.

Some of the participants include:

• The Chairs: rock band of Nazareth College professors

• Call4Backup: acapella group from Nazareth College

• Greg Cunningham: singer and guitarist from St. John Fisher

• Measure 13: acapella group, St. John Fisher

• Company B: Jazz female trio from Rochester

• EunMi Ko: pianist-Finger Lakes Community College and Eastman School of Music

• Nazareth College Jazz Band

• Nazareth College String Quartet

• Nazareth Dance Team
