Nazareth College Names Stephen Brown of Rochester to Board of Trustees

ROCHESTER, NY (04/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College is pleased to announce that Stephen Brown is the newest member of the College's board of trustees. Brown is a Private Wealth Advisor for Merrill Lynch; The Brown Group is located in Pittsford, NY. As the leader of The Brown Group he is responsible for directing the group's asset allocation strategies, portfolio management, concentrated stock management, trust and estate strategies, business lending, and retirement plans.

Brown graduated from the University of Rochester and since, has been working in the financial industry for a quarter of a century and has gained many certifications throughout the years. He is a Certified Investment Management AnalystSM professional (CIMA®), a Certified Private Wealth AdvisorSM professional (CPWA®), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), and an Accredited Retirement Planning Consultant (ARPC). He is also designated as a Premier Retirement Benefits Advisor, a title within Merrill Lynch to represent his expertise in the Retirement Plan arena. Mr. Brown serves on the Financial Advisor Board to the Retirement Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as well as the Advisory Council to Management for the Private Banking & Investment Group.

Brown has received national recognition as a prominent financial advisor from magazines such as Registered Rep., Barrons, PlanSponsor, and Plan Adviser. A Rochester resident, Brown is the president of the Highland Park Conservancy, and serves on the Boards of Encompass, Rochester Hearing and Speech, and The Seneca Park Zoo Society.
