Nazareth students inducted into national mathematics honor society Pi Mu Epsilon

Our twenty-fifth Pi Mu Epsilon induction ceremony was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020. However, due to stay at home orders imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony needed to be cancelled. This didn't stop the Mathematics Department from moving forward with the ceremony, even though it was limited to Zoom contact only and didn't include families to celebrate this achievement.


On April 28, 2020, the new inductees to Pi Mu Epsilon were sworn in by Dr. Heather Lewis, Faculty Advisor to New York Alpha Eta, Nazareth College's chapter.

Strength of performance in mathematics courses and overall academic achievement are the basis for nomination of students into Pi Mu Epsilon.
