HAMILTON, NY (10/24/2013)(readMedia)-- Ariel Sherry, a Junior and double major in psychology and religion at Colgate University, has a special passion for working with elders.
This is a major issue because as baby boomers age, a greater proportion of the community will be older adults. The information provided by Age Together aims to help communities make changes that promote positive aging and can make them more enticing places for people to live and grow old.
Ariel is also a team leader of Adopt-a-Grandparent and a participant in the Elders Project (part of the Sociology of the Life course class).
Thought into Action (TIA) is a Colgate University incubator for student ventures. Every year a select group of pioneering students prove what it really means to be an entrepreneur by taking an idea and making it 'go live'. In TIA, passionate students take their own ideas and move from theory to practice, while guided by invaluable mentorship of entrepreneurial alumni and parents.
