MILTON , MA (11/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Curry College is pleased to announce that Needham, MA resident Laura Hartman, daughter of Holly and Lester Hartman, has been cast in her first college Theatre production. A sophomore, majoring in Communication, Ms. Hartman was active in theatre at Beaver Country Day School, where she was seen in such shows as Treasure Island, Metamorphesis, and The Good Woman of Setzuan. At the college, she is now in rehearsal for Alan Ayckbourn's Woman in Mind.

Knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1997, Sir Alan Ayckbourn is the most widely produced playwright in England, second only to William Shakespeare. His darkly humorous Woman in Mind sees the action of the play through the eyes of its protagonist, as her mundane reality collides with her active fantasy life. Ms. Hartman's quirky portrayal of Muriel, the eccentric sister-in-law, is enough to drive any bored housewife to distraction.

This wildly unpredictable comedy tumbles across the stage on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday; Dec 1st through 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Curry College, in the Oscar B. and Frances A. Keith Auditorium at the Academic and Performance Center on the Milton Campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved at 617-333-2259 (Option 2).
