Nemec named 2018-2019 Intern for ISU's Office of Sustainability

Scott Nemec (Tinley Park, IL) has been named as a 2018-2019 Smart Business Challenge Intern for Iowa State University's Office of Sustainability and the City of Ames. Scott has been an intern with the Live Green! Initiative at Iowa State University and Electric Services in Ames for the past two years. In this role, he is part of a two-member team dedicated to facilitating the City of Ames Electric Services Department's Energy Rebate Program and recruiting Ames community businesses to the City's Smart Business Challenge, focused on educating on and engaging and empowering in sustainable planning, practices and opportunities. As noted by Merry Rankin, Director of Sustainability for Iowa State University, "We are so fortunate to have Scott returning to our team for a second year and sharing his networking, collaboration and strategic planning skills as well as his dedicated passion for a sustainable future."
