New Members Appointed to SUNY Delhi College Council

DELHI, NY (01/28/2015)(readMedia)-- Henry "Hank" Adams of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., Michelle M. Fisher of Treadwell, N.Y., and Wayne P. Oliver of Delhi, N.Y. have been appointed by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo to the SUNY Delhi College Council.

The College Council is a 10-member body, with each member being appointed on a rotating basis. The primary function of the Council is to serve as an advisory board to the college president. All positions on the Council are non-salaried.

Henry "Hank" Adams is executive vice president of Kiewit Infrastructure Group, part of Kiewit Corporation, a Fortune 250 company. Since joining Kiewit in 1979, Adams has since managed numerous heavy construction projects. He is a past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers Construction Institute, trustee of the New Jersey chapter of Associated General Contractors and longtime member of Woodbury Community Association. Currently Adams serves as president of the Moles fraternal organization and sits on industry advisory boards at SUNY Delhi and Virginia Tech. He holds a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an associate degree in Construction Technology from SUNY Delhi.

Michelle M. Fisher has extensive higher education experience at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y. She served as administrative assistant to five vice presidents of development and staffed three committees for the Board of Trustees. Prior to her position at Sarah Lawrence, Fisher worked for leading investment banking firms in Nashville and New York City, including J.C. Bradford, Schwabacher & Co., Halle, Stieglitz and Co., and Ultrafin International. Fisher holds a bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College.

Wayne P. Oliver is president and CEO of Delhi-based Sportsfield Specialties, a $30 million manufacturer of sports construction equipment. A successful business executive with over three decades of experience, including time with Fortune 500 companies, he has led the Sportsfield team to an average annual growth of over 30 percent and has increased Sportsfield's employment from seven to over 100 while maintaining a small company environment. Oliver holds a Master's of Business Administration degree from Syracuse University, a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering Management from Clarkson University, and an associate degree in Engineering Technology from SUNY Delhi.
