HAMBURG, NY (08/06/2010)(readMedia)-- Visitors to the Erie County Fair on Wednesday August 11 will be able to hone their skills at a Nascar tire change simulator if they stop by the New York Army National Guard recruiting stations at the fairgrounds. A pull up bar, Humvee display and a football toss will also be set up at the station, which is near the horse barns at the fairgrounds.

WHAT: Army National Guard recruiting display at the Erie County Fair. The recruiters will be on hand throughout the fair. A Nascar tire change simulator will be set up near the station, which is near the horse barns. Also available for visitors to the display will be a pull up bar, a Humvee display and a football toss.

Background: The New York Army National Guard, with a membership of about 10,500 Soldiers, is currently at 100 percent strength. National Guard Recruiters, though, are continually seeking new Soldiers to fill job education opportunities available in units across the state.
Throughout the summer months New York Army National Guard recruiters will be manning booths at county fairs to let the public and potential Soldiers know more about the force.
