New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Endorses Claudia Tenney in 101st Assembly District Primary
TROY, NY (08/27/2012)(readMedia)-- The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Political Victory Fund is pleased to endorse Claudia Tenney in the Republican primary in the new 101st Assembly district. Our endorsement is based upon her voting record in the legislature and her willingness to stand up for Second Amendment civil rights on the floor of the Assembly (A-1157B debate 6/19/12).
By contrast, during his tenure as Mayor of Walden, challenger Brian Maher joined the so-called Mayors Against Illegal Guns coalition whose primary legislative agenda includes prohibiting citizens from carrying firearms for self-defense (H.R. 822 press release 9/12/11.) In addition, Maher was featured in their June 15, 2010 advertising campaign as supporting firearms microstamping legislation in Albany. This proposal would not only amount to a de-facto prohibition of all new pistols by mandating the use of unworkable, sci-fi technology, but would force Remington Arms to move out of the district taking hundreds of well-paying, skilled jobs with them.
The choice is clear. We strongly encourage all gun owners to support Claudia Tenney on September 13.
