New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Urges Governor to Sign Hunting Bill

TROY, NY (07/10/2009)(readMedia)-- The State legislature has passed companion bills A-8302A and S-5500A allowing for permanent big game rifle hunting in Madison County. Last year the legislature approved a one-year trial period for rifle hunting in the county. The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association thanks Assemblyman William Magee and Senator David Valesky for sponsoring these bills, and we encourage Gov. Paterson to sign them promptly so the law will be in effect during this fall's hunting season.
