New Yorkers for Lawsuit Reform to Offer Testimony at New York Senate Hearing on Medical Malpractice Reform

ALBANY, NY (11/30/2009)(readMedia)-- The laws, rules, regulations and practices in New York respecting medical malpractice have an enormous impact on the manner in which medicine is practiced and have resulted in one of the most difficult practice environments in the country. New Yorkers for Lawsuit Reform has declared that reforming New York's legal system to be a parmount goal for the coming year as the State tackles historic financial difficulties and a growing health care crisis.

WHO:

Mark Kriss, executive director of New Yorkers for Lawsuit Reform, a broad-based coalition of New York's large and small businesses, health care professionals, farmers, municipalities and hard-working New Yorkers will be among the presenters.

WHAT:

At a hearing on Medical Malpractice Reform in front of the New York State Senate's Standing committees on Insurance, Health and Codes, a number of interested parties will present testimony which will clearly point to the need for lawsuit reform in New York State.
