New York's Powerball Jackpot Bumped to $500,000,000

SCHENECTADY, NY (11/27/2012)(readMedia)-- New York's Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing has been bumped to $500,000,000 based on strong sales across all 44 participating Powerball states plus the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.

If no one matches all six numbers drawn for tomorrow night's Powerball jackpot, the jackpot will roll further into record territory. The prize for matching the first five numbers drawn is $1,000,000.

Tickets for the Wednesday, November 28 Powerball drawing will remain on sale through 9 p.m.. EST.
