Newport resident Sarah Taylor wins outstanding student achievement award at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, CT (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Sarah Taylor, a freshman at Connecticut College, was awarded the John R. MacKinnon Prize, for outstanding performance in Psychology 101. Taylor was presented with the award at the annual Honors and Awards ceremony at Connecticut College on April 27.

Taylor, a resident of Newport, is a 2010 graduate of Rocky Hill School, East Greenwich.

At the ceremony, Timo V. Ovaska, Hans and Ella McCollum '21 Vahlteich Professor of Chemistry, gave the keynote address. Dean of the College Community Armando Bengochea and Dean of the Faculty Roger Brooks also congratulated the students.
