Nichols College Students Lend a Helping Hand on Alternative Spring Break
Seven Nichols College students traveled to New Orleans to lend a helping hand during spring break in March. The group worked with Gulf Coast Volunteers for the Long Haul and the St. Bernard's Project. Each morning, the group went to a home in the Seventh Ward--mudding, sanding and priming. In the afternoons, they completed projects that ranged from painting, gardening and working in the Habitat ReStore Center. This trip was made possible through fundraising efforts of the student attendees.
