Northampton Community and Lehigh Carbon Colleges to Offer Free Precision Machining Training

This training is free to those who qualify

BETHLEHEM, PA (09/21/2018) Northampton Community and Lehigh Carbon Community Colleges, in partnership with PA CareerLink, will offer Machining training through a Strategic Innovation Fund grant provided by Workforce Board Lehigh Valley and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Machining is a high priority occupation providing excellent jobs and career opportunities in the Lehigh Valley. This training is free to those who qualify.

Northampton Community and Lehigh Carbon Community Colleges, in partnership with PA CareerLink, will offer Machining training through a Strategic Innovation Fund grant provided by Workforce Board Lehigh Valley and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Machining is a high priority occupation providing excellent jobs and career opportunities in the Lehigh Valley. This training is free to those who qualify.

The training, which is held three days per week for a total of 300 hours, will be held from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at locations in Lehigh and Northampton counties. Individuals who complete the program will be well-trained for entry-level positions in manufacturing. Training will be conducted at two technical high schools: Career Institute of Technology (CIT) in Easton and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute (LCTI) in Schnecksville. The NCC course at CIT starts Tuesday, Oct. 16, and the LCCC course begins Tuesday, Dec.6 at LCTI.
