SPRINGFIELD, MA (04/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Western New England College senior Jason A. Criscuolo of Northford, CT (06472) recently placed third in the senior design competition at the Northeast Bioengineering Conference held in Troy, NY. The competition offers undergraduates a professional venue to present their senior design projects. Criscuolo was honored for his project entitled "An Affordable Neonatal CPAP Nasal Interface for the Developing World." The project is sponsored by Engineering World Health, a non-profit organization that mobilizes the biomedical engineering community to improve the quality of health care in the developing world. Criscuolo was one of 15 Western New England biomedical engineering students to attend the Northeast Bioengineering Conference.
