November 14th Planned Parenthood Annual Celebration/Awards Event
Award-winning Actress Kathleen Turner, Featured Speaker
SCHENECTADY, NY (11/08/2011)(readMedia)-- Award-winning actress Kathleen Turner is the featured speaker Monday, November 14th at Planned Parenthood Mohawk Hudson's Annual Celebration in Saratoga Springs.
Ms. Turner will discuss how women and men can play a leading role in life faced with unprecedented state and federal attacks on reproductive rights.
As the chair of Planned Parenthood's Board of Advocacy (nationally), Ms. Turner has testified before Congress on family planning funding, raised funds and served as a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, advocating for women's reproductive rights.
Three outstanding local supporters will receive the "Giraffe Award," which recognizes them for "sticking their necks out" for Planned Parenthood Mohawk Hudson.
Held at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, 191 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, the Annual Celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and cash bar, followed by 6:45 remarks and awards, and concludes at 8:30 p.m. with desserts and book signing.
