O'Connell and Aronowitz to Help Local Veterans for National Day of Action

Teamed up with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Albany Stratton VA Hospital to show support for homeless veterans in Capital District

ALBANY, NY (11/04/2014)(readMedia)-- Did you know there are more than 20 million living U.S. veterans?

To help do its part, O'Connell and Aronowitz has partnered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to show support for veterans in the Capital District community with a donation campaign to provide necessary supplies to the Albany Stratton VA Hospital. The effort is part of a nationwide community outreach event - known as the Injury Board Day of Action (#IBDayofAction).

Throughout the week of November 3rd, O'Connell and Aronowitz will host a donation campaign at their office at 54 State Street, Albany to collect needed items for the Homeless Veterans Program at the Albany VA hospital. Some of the items most needed include winter coats, boots, sweat pants and t-shirts (new items in packages or with tags). A donation drop box will also be in the lobby at 54 State Street, Albany. O'Connell and Aronowitz will visit the VA hospital on Monday, November 10 to deliver the donated items.

"As a firm, we are dedicated to giving back to the community and helping those in need of assistance," says Pamela Nichols, managing partner of O'Connell and Aronowitz. "We are truly honored to be part of a national day of action to show support to those who have risked their lives for our freedoms."

The IB Day of Action is a nationwide, collaborative effort to bring together more than 100 plaintiffs' lawyer firms across the U.S. - all working for the same cause on the same day. Pam Nichols and Tom DiNovo have been Injury Board members for 3 years.

"We are passionate about helping Injury Board members give back to their communities; it's part of the DNA of our organization," says Tom young, attorney-at-law and co-founder of The Injury Board. "We are extremely proud to bring our members together for this day of action. To make even the smallest difference is better than making no difference at all."
